"Location was fabulous for exploring the city and the DDay memorials. Everything in Caen was within walking distance. Also got the train to Paris for the day which was easy enough to do. Liked having the secure parking garage for the car."

"Could not open the apartment on arrival and the gate fob did not work. As we arrived early Sunday morning, it was a bit of an inconvenience. I phoned the host and they were great and opened the apartment and advised to change the batteries. The smaller bedroom could of had curtains in addition to the shutters. These were small issues but would not put me off from staying there again."

"This well appointed appartment would comfortably accommodate 3 people (or 4 people if you do not intend to spend much time sitting down in the living area.) Both bedrooms were a decent size and the beds were comfortable. (NB The front bedroom might suffer from some traffic noise, but we actually slept in the back bedroom) The towels were lovely too. The kitchen contained basic provisions, such as tea bags, dishwasher tablets and washing machine pods. A decent boulangerie was nearby. There was free, on site parking in a garage, but this would not be suitable for a large vehicle (we have a Citroen C3 Picasso, which fit in ok). The owner's communications were fantastic and very clear. They provided useful information about points of interest in Caen and, as a result, we spent a happy hour in the local botanical gardens, which had a great boulangerie, Graines de Copains, around the corner, where we were able to sit down for our lunch."

"There was only a small sofa and a bean bag in the living area. An extra comfortable chair would have been useful. If you are particularly large, you might struggle in the small toilet. However, my 18 stone, 6ft 2" husband found it to be fine. There was no toilet paper, so take your own. The tight squeeze getting into the garage!"

"Gaining access to the property and hosts providing details were excellent. No hassle at all. The beds were very comfy and bedding clean. In a great location and everything easy to get to. Caen is a great city and lots to see. Transport on your doorstep if needed. Garage is an absolute bonus. We would definitely recommend and would love to go back."

"My only one negative point is that we had no tea towel to dry our dishes. We had the dishwasher but just wanted to wash and dry up a few things on the last day before leaving. Luckily I had bought some kitchen roll so used that but didn’t think to pack a tea towel."
